NACD Board Leadership Conference NACD Chapter System

How Do You Build and Measure Business Value

April 20, 2017
Salt Lake City, UT

"Boards that Build Value" and "Creating Value" are frequent themes in speeches and articles. Building value is top of mind for all of us. But how do we create value in a company and how do we measured value?  Val Oveson, a Board member of NACD Utah Chapter and business valuation professional will lead a discussion on this timely topic at the April 20, 2017 NACD Utah Chapter Roundtable. Val will focus on the relationship between the quality of a company and the measurement of value. He will illustrate how improving the quality of a company, e.g. strategy, financial management, HR, operations, R&D, regulatory compliance and marketing, creates lasting value. He will demonstrate how this value can be measured through adjustments to the discount rate in the business-valuation process.
